Things seem to “go into one ear and out the other.”  Even when they hear something several times, they still cannot remember it…or they remember only pieces of it.

They often read something over and over again, but they still can’t remember it.

It is hard for them to anticipate what is going to happen next, to plan, or to anticipate the consequences of their behavior.

It is difficult for them to recall more than short statements or short lists of things that they read or hear.

Other people seem to learn new things faster than they do. They are not a "quick study."

This person needs a lot of help from others when doing most tasks or when learning new things.

They seldom know how much time has passed. They are frequently late, or have problems estimating how much time a task will take to complete.

They need to do things several times before they can do them on their own.

People often tell this person that what he or she thought they heard was not what they meant. This person doesn't understand what people said correctly. He or she misinterprets what others say in conversation.
